Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
Runners (hereinafter "Company") establishes this policy to comply with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other relevant laws, and to safely process and protect customers' personal information in the course of providing its services (hereinafter "Service").
Article 2 (Scope of Application)
This policy applies to all services operated by the Company.
Chapter 2 Collection and Use of Personal Information
Article 3 (Purposes and Items of Collection)
The Company collects the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide and improve its services.

Article 4 (Retention and Use Period)
- In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of collection has been achieved.
- However, if retention for a certain period is required under applicable laws, it will be retained accordingly.
- Contract/payment records: 5 years
- Consumer complaint/dispute records: 3 years
- Access logs: 3 months
Article 5 (Personal Information of Children Under 14)
The Company does not, in principle, collect personal information from children under the age of 14. If collection is unavoidably necessary, it is processed with the consent of a legal guardian.
Article 6 (Processing of Sensitive Information)
The Company does not, in principle, collect sensitive information such as resident registration numbers, political views, beliefs, or health information. Information related to service use, such as schedules, events, and locations, is entered directly by users and is used solely for the purposes of the service.
Chapter 3 Third-Party Provision and Entrustment of Personal Information
Article 7 (Third-Party Provision)
- In principle, the Company does not provide personal information to external parties.
- However, it may be provided in the following cases:
- As required by law
- When the user has given prior consent
- When necessary for the provision of services
Article 8 (Entrustment)
The Company may entrust the processing of personal information to ensure stable service provision. Entrusted companies are managed and supervised through contracts related to personal information protection.
- Payment processing agency: Processing payments for paid services
- Notification/SMS service: Sending member notifications
- Cloud/hosting provider: Data storage and system operation
Article 9 (Cross-Border Transfer)
The Company may process and store personal information outside of Korea through cloud servers (AWS, GCP, etc.). In such cases, protective measures required by applicable laws are taken to ensure security.
Chapter 4 Destruction of Personal Information
Article 10 (Destruction Procedure and Method)
- Personal information is destroyed without delay when the retention period has expired or the purpose of processing has been achieved.
- Electronic files are deleted by irreversible methods, and paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
Chapter 5 Rights of Data Subjects
Article 11 (Rights)
Customers may exercise the following rights at any time.
- Right to access, correct, or delete personal information
- Right to request suspension of processing or withdrawal of consent
- Right to access, correct, or delete location information
Article 12 (Exercise of Rights)
Customers may submit requests via email (support@runners.im) or through the customer service center, and the Company will process requests within 10 days in accordance with applicable laws.
Chapter 6 Personal Information Protection Measures
Article 13 (Protection Measures)
The Company takes the following measures to safely protect personal information.
- Establishment and implementation of internal management plans
- Minimization of access to personal information
- Encryption and secure server operation
- Retention of access records and prevention of tampering
- Physical access control and management of security zones
- Regular security inspections and monitoring
- Training for employees who handle personal information
